  John M. Nennig, 73, of Fond du Lac, a former Town of Chilton farmer, died at St. Agnes Hospital Monday after an illness of six months. Born in the Town of Brothertown on Aug. 1, 1893, a son of the late Jacob and Theresa Herzog Nennig, he married Theresa Melchoirs at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chilton, on May 28, 1918. She died July 23, 1954. The couple farmed in the Town of Chilton until 1950, when they moved to Fond du Lac, where he was employed by the Freiburg Home Improvement as a salesman until his illness. Mr. Nennig was a member of the board of education of the Town of Chilton for many years, the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Holy Name Society. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Rosemary) Seipel of the Town of Charlestown and Mrs. Wilmer (Eunice) Siegwarth of the Town of Chilton; two sons, Reuben of the Town of Charlestown and Herbert of Kiel; two brothers, Louis of Chilton and Elmer of Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Michael Gruger of Chilton, and 15 grandchildren. One daughter and one brother preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at t h e Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chilton, with the Rev. Duane Dionne, assistant pastor, as celebrant of the requiem Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the fun- eral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday. The parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. and the Eagles will conduct memorial services at 8:45 p.m. at the funeral home Wednesday.
