  William Brill, 61 years old, died at the family home, 1091 Spencer Street, Sunday afternoon. He was born in Granville, Milwaukee county, June 22, 1859 and came to the town of Buchanan with his parents in 1863, where he resided until 1914. He had resided in Appleton since. He was married in 1888 at South Kaukauna to Miss Henrietta Geenen. Decedent is survied by his widow; one son, Louis, Appleton; three daughters, Cornelia, Alma, and Janette, Appleton; two brothers, Joseph, Chicago; Robert Kaukauna; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bast, Kaukauna; Mrs. Francis Lamers, Milwaukee. Funeral services will be held at nine o'clock Wednesday from St. Mary Church. Burial will take place at St. Mary cemetery, South Kaukauna. Death of Well Known Pioneer William Brill Kaukauna Times 12/30/1920 9 Obituary William Brill of Appleton but formerly resident here in the town of Buchanan for fifty years, died after a long illness at his home, 1091 Spencer street, Appleton at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, afternoon at the age fo 61 years. Mr. Brill, whose parents came form Germany to Wisconsin early in the "Fifties" as part of that German contingent which helped to establish Wisconsin, was born in the town fo Granville, Milwaukee county on June 22,1859 and settled in the town of Buchanan in 1863 where he lived of the ensuing fifty years on the Michael Brill homestead opposite the town hall where Peter Biese now resides. Retiring form active life in 1914 Mr. Brill, who was affectionately known as "Willie" Brill moved to Appleton although still retaining his interest in and affection for the old environment and long time friends and neighbors. He was married February 1, 1888 to Miss Henrietta Geenen of this city at St. Mary's church, and to them were born six children, two of whom are dead and four survive, namely: Louis, Misses Kate, Alma, Jeanette of Appleton. In addition to the children and the widow there survive of immediate relatives to mourn the loss of an affectionate father and brother, his two brothers: Robert of this city, and Joe of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bast of this city and Mrs. Frances Lamers of Milwaukee. The funeral services were held on Wednesday morning, Dec. 29 from St. Mary's church, Appleton, Rev. W. J. Fitzmaurice, pastor celebrating the requiem mass. Interment was made in St. Mary's parish cemetery of this city. The Catholic Knights of Wisconsin Number 64 of which the decedent was a respected member attended the funeral in a body. The pallbearers were old friends and neighbors of "Willie" Brill, namely: Michael Klein, Jospeh La Casse, Joseph Dietzler and John Gerend of this city representing the C. K. of W. and Judge T. H. Ryan, John Roach and E. Finnegan of Appleton.
