  Karen A. Kemps, of Neenah, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 20, 2013. She was born September 27, 1941, in Neenah, daughter of the late Herman and Zela (Wendler) Schwartzkopf. Karen married Ralph Kemps on November 12, 1983. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2013. Karen waitressed for many years at The Grog in Menasha and most recently worked at the Valley VNA in Neenah. Karen enjoyed reading and watching Soap Operas and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family cookouts. Survivors include her three children: Kathryn (Dale) Howard, Larsen, John Arps, Oshkosh, Michael Arps and his fiancé, Beth Kestell, Oshkosh; three step-children: MariPat (Mark) Franke, Neenah, Kevin (Ann Voges) Kemps, Neenah, Adam (Cindy) Schaefer Kemps, Menasha; six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law: Bonnie Schwartzkopf, Nancy Schwartzkopf. Karen was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, John "Butch" Arps; as well as two brothers: Norman and Richard Schwartzkopf. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
