  H. Ruth Sykes, age 92 of Black Creek, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, following a short illness. She was born on July 9, 1920 to the late Will and Phenia (Price) Hetzel. On April 30, 1951, she married Burton A. Sykes. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2000. She is survived by her children; Janice (James) Russo, James (Mariann) Sykes, Thomas (Susan) Sykes and Ted (Karen) Sykes, her grandchildren; Aaron (Kimberly) Sykes, Cassandra (Braden) Ford, Justin, Sarah and Kristina Sykes, Kraig Salvesen, Kimberley (Stefan) Lindsay and Caroline Sykes. Ruth is further survived by her sister, Dorothy (H.S.) Bouton as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Burton, two brothers and seven sisters. Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 7:00PM, Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N Richmond St, Appleton.
