- Margaret K. Meier, 85, Green Bay, died peacefully at a Green Bay on February 26, 2005, surrounded by family. Born on July 16, 1919, she is the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Baum) Alesch. On May 29, 1941, she married Willard A. Meier in Appleton, he preceded her in death in 1994. Margaret devoted her life to her family, was an active swimmer, enjoyed playing cards, gardening, taking trips to Door County and times spent with her close friends at Cedar Lake Apartments. She was a lifetime member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Green Bay. Margaret worked as a buyer for the Copps Corporation for 25 years until her retirement.
Margaret was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Linda Meier after having provided many years of loving care.
Margaret is survived by her four children, Sandra (Ken) Muller, Baileys Harbor; Bill (Mary Jean) Meier, Green Bay; Ronald (Jane) Meier DDS, Oconto; Sophie Jean (Richard) Delforge, Oconto; 14 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Edward (Marge) Alesch, Richardson, TX; Ione Faye, San Diego, Calif.; Eugene (Gara) Alesch, Salina, KS, Marilyn Kloes, Salinas, Calif.; many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
Visitation at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird Street, Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Green Bay with Rev. Thomas Farrell officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
