  Jerome E. De Bruin, Appleton, age 68, died Saturday, November 22, 2008, at home. He was born in Little Chute on October 20, 1940, to the late Edward and Eleanor (Tullberg) De Bruin. Jerome had a great passion for travel and owned Foremost Travel of Chicago for over 20 years as well as a Christmas shop, Noel, in Palm Springs. He lived life to the fullest and was very independent. His passion for life and people was evident to anyone who knew him. He also volunteered at area homeless shelters. Jerome was employed at Younkers until illness forced his retirement. Jerome is survived by his sisters, Carol (Wesley) Braun of Neenah and Yvonne (Paul) Van Landghen of Kimberly; his special aunt, Marcella Van Zeeland; and nephews and nieces: Gregory (Jennifer) and Jeffrey (Julie) Braun, Sheila Kelley, Tina (David) Palmer, Richard (Amy), John and Kenneth (Terri) Van Landghen. He was preceded in death by his business partner and long time friend Bruce Nelson.A private family service will be held at a later date. O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME 201 E.
