- Winnebagoland Eugene J. Fountain APPLETON - Eugene J. Fountain, 60, of 1824 Reid Dr., Appleton, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 22, 1906, in Appleton, and was president of the Fountain Lumber Company. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton, the Holy Name Society and choir of the church, Knights of Columbus, fourth degree, Serra Club, Butte des Morte Country Club and Appleton Elks Club. He served on the board of appeals for the City of Appleton. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Gordon Kotosky, Kimber- ly; two sons, Gerald, Milwaukee, and Thomas, Appleton; four brothers, John, Milwaukee, William, Hollywood, Fla , and Walter and Robert, both of Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Michael Brisch, Manitowoc, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the cortege forming at 9.30 at the Brettschneider - Trettin Funeral Home, .Appleton. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. The rosary will be prayed at 8 Wednesday evening.
