  The death of Peter Schuh Friday at the age of 80 marked the end of a generation, "the last of the rugged individuals", as one person commented at the funeral home. A bachelor, he lived alone in the home of his boyhood on Taylor Street where he worked as a carpenter. His home had no electricity, no city water, no telephone. He had no insurance, no social security, no bank account, no accumulated money. Each year he borrowed the money from a niece for his taxes any paid off as he did carpenter work throughout the year.
