  Krautkramer, Jerome W. "Jerr y"Jerome W. "Jerry" Krautkramer, 72, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, at t he home of his daughter, Katie Eyer of Duluth. He was born on April 4, 193 3, to George Peter and Philomena (Smudde) Krautkramer in Freedom, Wi s. He was a 1951 graduate of Kaukauna High School in Kaukauna, Wis. In 195 3, he entered the U.S. Air Force, where he served two years in Japan and w as honorably discharged as a Tech Sergeant in 1957. Jerry was united in ma rriage to Mary C. Kampmeyer on September 12, 1959 in Sioux City, Iow a. In 1966, Jerry was awarded a Master of Hospital Administration degree f rom the Medical College of Virginia. He then spent many years in the heal th care industry, to include both hospital administration and later the in surance industry with Allstate Insurance. Jerry was a resident of the Hano ver Park-Bartlett, Ill. area for 30 years and has been a Duluth resident f or the past 10 years. Jerry enjoyed fishing, reading, debating, and mo st of all, his children and grandchildren, with whom he shared an elfish s ense of humor.He was preceded in death by his mother, Philomena, shortly after his birt h, by his father, George, and by his stepmother, Olga (Borreson) Krautkram er.He is survived by two daughters, Katie (Steven) Eyer of Duluth and Robyn(B rian) Davis of Herren, Ill.; two sons, Daniel V. (Rachel) of Minnetonka a nd Erick (Dorothy) of Bartlett, Ill.; his loving former wife, Mary Krautkr amer of Huntley, Ill.; his grand- children, Laurel, Maddie, Sarah, Anna, A shley, Alyssa and Austin; a sister, Anne (Michael) Nabbefeld of Greenvill e, Wis; a niece, Michelle (Jason) Behun of Blaine, Minn.; a nephew, Jeff ( Ashley) Nabbefeld of Neenah, Wis.The family would like to give special thanks to St. Mary's Medical Cent er Staff, St. Mary's Hospice, Dr. Becky Meyerson and Dr. Michael Whitco mb for their dedicated and compassionate care of Jerry.
