- Hintz, Erma E.Erma Hintz, 92, died peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2005, at Appleton Med ical Center surrounded by family. She was born on February 8, 1913, in N ew Holstein to the late Jacob and Margaret (Wick) Walber. On July 30, 192 9, she married the late Erwin Hintz Sr. in New Holstein. She was employ ed by the Appleton Public School System. She was a member of St. Pius X Ca tholic Church. Her favorite activities included arts and crafts, paintin g, rug braiding, gardening, playing cards and spending time at her cottag e. Her many wonderful friends and family members added great joy to her po st-retirement years. Erma’s joyous and positive spirit lives on in her chi ldren and grandchildren.She is survived by her son Erwin Hintz Jr., Appleton; her daughter Bernet te and son-in-law Eugene Schuh, De Pere; her sister-in-law Armilla Walbe r, New Holstein; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a great- great- grandchild, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Erma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Erwin on July 11, 1 963, her sister Romilda and brother-in-law Joseph Jaeckels, her brother s: Clement and Jerome Walber, her daughter Patricia Coenen and herdaughter -in-law Patricia (Blick) Hintz.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 22, 200 5, at 11 a.m. at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W. Marquette St., Applet on with Fr. Donald Zuleger officiating. Internment will take place at High land Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Church on Friday from 9:30 a. m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American H eart Association appreciated.The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Appleton Medic al Center and the doctors and staff who cared for her as well as Hospice p ersonnel.
