GOODLAND -- Lucille M. Nemechek, 87, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012. She was born March 30, 1925, in Hays, the daughter of Margaret A. (Halbleib) and John J. Rourke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; grandson, Matthew Nemechek; parents; infant brother, Joseph; two brothers, John Jr. and Bernard; two sisters, Katherine Daigle and Helen Schaben. She is survived by her children, Richard, of Manhattan, Margaret Morgan, of Edwardsville, Mary Lou Harding, of Wichita, Regina McFall, of Olathe, Dr. Eugene, of Wilson, N.C., Dr. Victor, of Quinter, Michael, of Olathe, Melvin, of Goodland, Barbara Winston, of Goodland, Henrietta Nemechek-Glatter, of Kearney, Neb., and Monica Jefferson, of Goodland; 34 grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen Nemechek, of Goodland, and Sister Margaret Rourke, of Salina; three sisters-in-law, Agatha Denning, of Hutchinson, Barbara Parke, of WaKeeney, and Alice Nemechek, of Ness City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the vigil, which will be 7 p.m. MT Friday, April 27, at OLPH Catholic Church, Goodland. The funeral will be 10 a.m. MT Saturday at the church.
