  John W. Geenen 425 W. Kennedy AvenueKimberlyAge 82, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 20 00 at Colony Oaks Care Center following a brief illness. John was bo rn in Freedom on February 22, 1918, son of the late William and Rose (Caln in) Geenen. On September 27, 1941, John married the former Arline Boss er in Appleton; she survives. During World War II, John served his count ry as a military police officer at an Army base in Florida. Upon relocati ng to the Fox River Valley, John worked as a police officer for both Outag amie County and the City of Appleton. He also worked as a real estate age nt in the area. John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Arline Geenen, K imberly; five daughters: Judith (Jack) Lamers, Centerville, Ohio; Katheri ne (Dale) Mitchell, Darboy; Victoria (Joseph) Van Hout, Little Chute; Ly nn LuMaye, Glenwood Springs, Colorado; Deborah (Steve) Stumpf, Town of Har rison; two sons: James (Janine) Geenen, Quito, Ecuador; John (Shelley) Gee nen, Plymouth, Minnesota; 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two br others: Clem (Renee) Geenen, Sarasota, Florida; Brother William Geenen, CS C, Sarasota, Florida; two sisters: Marcella Campshure, Menasha; Kathleen T omsyck, Greenville, South Carolina. John was preceded in death by his pare nts, sons-in-law: Edwin Florek and John Mader; brothers-in-law: Owen Hurle y, Carlton Campshure and John Tomsyck. The funeral liturgy for John wi ll be 11 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2000 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6 00 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiatin g. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home and again Friday directly at the church fr om 10 a.m. until the hour of the liturgy. The members of William Verhag en Post No. 60 of the American Legion will provide military honors followi ng the funeral services at the church and there will be a parish prayer a nd scripture service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.May the road r ise to meet you;May the wind be alwaysat your back.May the rain fall softu pon your fields;And until we meet again,may God hold youin the palm of H is hand.Jansen Fargo Funeral Home204 E.
