- Henry Vande Loo, 98, De Pere, passed away Friday morning, March 2, 2007. He was born on Oct. 12, 1908, in Hollandtown, son to the late John and Anna (Haen) Vande Loo. He married Sadie Gerrits on Sept. 24, 1935, in Wrightstown, she preceded him in death on Aug. 22, 2005. Henry worked for 24 years at A. G. Wells Company and at St. Norbert Abbey for 15 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish and it's Holy Name Society and the Catholic Knights.
Survivors include his children, Carol and Marty White, Chicago; Joann Vande Loo, De Pere; Rosemary and Gary Freischmidt, De Pere; Michael and Lois Vande Loo, Green Bay; daughters-in-law, Ann Vande Loo, Green Bay; and Linda Villiesse, De Pere; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dr. Francis (Ceil) Vande Loo, De Pere; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Hibbard, Aggie Gerrits, both of De Pere; two brothers-in-law, Donald (Ruth) Gerrits, Kaukauna; Leo (Gladys) Gerrits, Appleton.
Henry was preceded in death by one son, Tom; grandsons, Tim and Dan; brothers, John, Jake, Edward, Joseph and Rev. Norbert Vande Loo; sisters, Clara Dietzen and Mary Fox; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Eva Schreurs, Agnes Schreurs, Florence Devroy, Martha Ver Boort, Edward, Peter and Ray Gerrits.
Family and friends may call on Monday, March 5, 2007, from 4 to 6 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 6 p.m. on Monday at the church with the Rev. Willard Vande Loo, Henry's nephew, officiating. The Rev. John H. Harper will be concelebrating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the family.
Dad, we will really miss you, especially your beautiful smile and gentle heart, but we know you are now with the Love of Your Life, Mom!
The family would like to thank Dr. Hoppe and the 7th floor staff at St. Vincent Hospital for the wonderful care given to Henry during the past two weeks.
