- Marion Grosser, age 88, of Appleton, passed away at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute, on Monday, August 27, 2012. Marion was born on January 15, 1924, in Appleton, to the late Henry and Elizabeth (Geiger) Bruehl. Following graduation from high school, Marion moved to California where she contributed to the war effort by being employed at an aircraft factory. She married Robert H. Stark in 1945; he preceded her in death later that same year. Marion married Frank Grosser on December 26, 1948, in Appleton; he preceded her in death August 21, 1990. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Marion's life was filled with many challenges, all of which were handled with grace and dignity. She remained independent and at home until her passing. Survivors include her children, Roberta (Peter) Parker, and John (Michele) Grosser; her grandchildren, Paul Parker, Jeff (Mary) Parker, John (Tricia) Grosser, Jr. "J.J."; and her great grandson, Lee Parker. She was preceded in death by her sister, Leona (Lloyd) Eisner, and her brothers, Jerry Bruehl and Carl (Betty) Bruehl. Memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME - TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, with Deacon Don Gigure officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Marion's name. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Parkside Care Center for their loving care.
