- Carol Beattie (nee Brown), age 69, of New London, passed away on June 13, 2008. Carol was born on September 15, 1938, in New London, daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Jolly) Brown. In 1955, she was united into marriage to Duane A. Young. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1971. On May 21, 1973, she entered in to marriage with Lee D. Beattie in New London.
Carol is survived by her husband Lee; her children: Mike and Chris Young, New London; Kim (Beattie) (Ed) Gable, Gillett; Judy (Young) (Gary) Akerlund, Zion, IL; Julie (Beattie) (Corey) Berg, New London; Becky Young (special friend John), Kaukauna; Kevin Beattie (special friend Val), New London; Jan (Young) (Arlie) Gensler, Weyauwega; Joe (Debbie) Young, West Bloom Field; Jackie (Beattie) Leaflield, Gillett; Duane "Dewy" Young, New London; and Jason Beattie, New London; sisters: Deneka (James) Guyette, Shiocton; Nancy (Dale) Allen, Shiocton; brothers: Russell (special friend Diana), Michigan; and David (Patty) Brown, New London. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband Duane, she is preceded in death by a grandson Evon Young.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
