- Joann C. Schaenzer, age 80, of Hortonville, passed away on Thursday November 29, 2012, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on January 2, 1932, in New London, daughter of the late Milton and Olive (Holmes) Lippold. On July 10, 1954 she was united in marriage to Jean Schaenzer at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. Joann enjoyed spring walleye fishing on the Wolf River and watching the Packer and Brewers. She loved being with her family, especially at Christmas and Thanksgiving and attending her children's and grandchildren's events. She also loved to work in her garden and the annual carnie weekend. She is survived by her husband, Jean. A daughter, Diane Julius, Greenville. Three sons, Jim (Shelly) Schaenzer, Greenville, Dennis (Paula) Schaenzer, Appleton, Steve Schaenzer and fiancée Jennifer Sommers, Hortonville. A sister, Helen (Carleton) Bork, Greenville. A sister-in-law, Janice Poole, Hortonville. She is further survived by Twelve grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie) Julius, Craig (Sarah) Julius, Kara (Joe) Wittlin, Amie (Brett) Rowland, Shannon Schaenzer and special friend Matty, Hannah Schaenzer, Bryan Schaenzer, Brandon Schaenzer, Jordan Schaenzer, Megan Schaenzer, Skylar Sommers, Madison Sommers. Four great grandchildren: Levi Ritchie, Layna Ritchie, Jackson Julius, Masen Julius. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law David Julius, her mother-in-law Ella, a sister-in-law Joan (Vernon) Pieper, a sister-in-law Marilyn (Don) Schulz and a brother-in-law Ron Poole. The Funeral Service for Joann will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville with Rev. Joel Jenswold officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery in Hortonville. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
