Nelson, Kaukauna mayor for seven years in the 1930's and 40's, died at 11 a.m. Monday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he had a winter home. He was 83 years of age. He had been in the hospital with a heart condition for about a week. In addition to serving as mayor Nelson was involved in numerous other civic activities and was general manager of the Badger Tissue Mills for 38 years, and president of the corporation for most of that time. The funeral will be held in Kaukauna, but arrangements are not yet complete.
