- Wayne M. Anthony, age 75, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2009, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Bovina, WI, on October 24, 1933, son of the late Fredrick and Hanna (Lyons) Anthony. Wayne married Jeanne (Fisch) Stache on June 4, 1976. Wayne was employed as a painter until disabled by an accident in 1974. He was a long-time member of the Moose.
Wayne is survived by his wife Jeanne; his daughters: Kathleen Anthony and Patricia Anthony, both of Appleton; one son: Scott Anthony, Appleton; three stepsons: Patrick (Chris) Stache, Hilbert; Reuben Stache, Oshkosh; Keith Stache, Green Bay; six stepdaughters: Joni Cartier, Green Bay; Elaine Stache, Portland, OR; Deb (Randy) Augustinak, Lac du Flambeau; Theresa (Randy) Reuter; Brooklyn Park, MN; Carolyn (Tim) Martin, Appleton; Barb (Dave) Hand, Appleton; five grandchildren; twenty step-grandchildren; nine great-step-grandchildren; sister, Ione Blohm, Appleton; niece and nephew, Frank and Frances Papenfuss, Appleton; other nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela (Anthony) Belflower; his grandson, Dustin Jacobs; his parents; his sisters: Peg Pierre, Rita Seidl, Alice Collar, and Luella Bricko; brothers, Aloyisios and Russell Anthony.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Wayne will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Appleton with Father Norm Krutzik presiding. Entombment will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the Mass.
