- DeBruin, Margaret Ella (Splingaire)
Margaret Ella DeBruin (Splingaire), 85, of Gilbert, AZ, formerly of Seymour, died Oct. 3, 2008, at home. She was born June 10, 1923 in Brussels, WI. She married Lloyd Joseph DeBruin on Dec. 27, 1941, who preceded her in death Oct. 11, 1976. They resided in Seymour, WI, until 1973, when they moved to Mesa, AZ. She enjoyed spending time with the family, sewing and country western music.
Survivors include five daughters and three sons: Helen (Ron) Meidam of Little Chute, WI, Barbara (Mike) Diedrick of AZ, Gloria (Ralph) Calaway of Freedom, WI, John (Diana) DeBruin of Seymour, WI, MaryAnn (Cal) Murphy of Freedom, WI, Elaine (Gary) Fleishman of AZ, Roger (Vonny) DeBruin of AZ and Jerry (Linda) DeBruin of AZ; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one sister, Shirley Daniels, of Orlando, FL.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, two sons and one daughter: Harry, Kenneth and Kathy; three brothers: Edwin Splingaire, Howard Splingaire, and Herman Splingaire; and one sister, Laverne Dollar.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, Oct 7, in Mesa, AZ.
