- Leroy Leo VandeVoort, 65, 411 Roselawn Dr., Brillion, died on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at his home. He was born on April 1, 1946, in Little Chute, son of the late Joseph and Helen (Hermsen) VandeVoort. He married Sandrea Brick on Aug. 24, 1966, in Askeaton. Leroy worked at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein for over 42 years until his retirement. He liked to camp with family and friends and attend country music festivals.
Survivors include his wife, Sandrea; his children, Kelly VandeVoort and special friend Patrick Schnell, Brillion; Scott VandeVoort, Brillion; three grandchildren, April, Tara, and Brittany Boehnlein; a stepgrandson, Adam (Amber) Boehnlein; three great-grandchildren, Addison, Eli, and Landon; two brothers, Marv (Judy) VandeVoort, Brothertown; Bob (Arlene) VandeVoort, Little Chute; five sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, one step brother-in-law, and many other relatives and friends. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law, Dawn VandeVoort; two brothers, Joe and Roger; his stepmother, Mary Lou; stepsister, Cathy Arnoldussen; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lucille and Jim Brick.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc.
