- James S. DuFrane, Kaukauna, Age 64, passed away at his home on Friday, August 31, 2012 following a two year courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 2, 1947 in Kaukauna, son of the late Ruben and Aileen (Clough) DuFrane. Jim was a Veteran of the US Army, serving in Vietnam from 1967-1970. On November 7, 1970 he was united in marriage to Barbara Schultz at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. Jim was a mill worker at the Kimberly Mill for 34 years until his retirement. Jim and Barb enjoyed traveling and the occasional stop at one of the many casinos along the way. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandson Justin.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara; a son, James, Jr.; a daughter, Kari (Raymond) Parker and their son Justin; ten brothers and sisters: Valerie (Daniel) Fredericks, Gary (Elaine), Gregg (Linda), Deborah (Lawrence) Gerrits, Paul (Robin), Leah (Michael) Hoks, Dawn (James) Kappell, Hazen (Judy), Robin Munes, and Tracy (Debbie). Jim is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and Barbara's relation. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services for Jim will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Deacon Steve Vandehey officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the time of services.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the VA Hospital in Milwaukee as well as the Martha Sieckman Cancer Center in Appleton.
