  Austin, Irene MaryIrene Mary Austin, age 97, Appleton, formerly of Little Chute passed aw ay Friday, October 14, 2005, at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna. Irene was born Oc tober 18, 1907, in Freedom, Wisconsin, daughter of Henry and Mary Van Sust eren. She attended nursing school in Oshkosh and worked as a staff nur se at Lawrence University in Appleton. She was a Lt. in the U.S. Army havi ng served as a nurse during World War II in France. She married Frank Aust in who preceded her in death. Her passions included reading and traveling.Irene is survived by her sister, Joan Hickey and a brother, John Van Suste ren.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; sisters: Olive a nd Eva; brothers: Urban, Joseph, Stanley and Morris; half brothers: Raymo nd and Peter.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at S t. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev Patrick Beno off iciating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends m ay call at the church from Noon Wednesday until the time of mass.
