- Alice F. Berg, Kaukauna, age 88, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Theda Care Hospice Residence in Appleton. She was born November 11, 1921, to the late Helmer and Bernice (Guilfoyle) Damro in Appleton. On October 3, 1944, she was united in marriage to Roman Berg at St. Leo's Parish in Tacoma, WA, and together they celebrated 65 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband, Roman; her son, Larry Berg of Toronto, Canada, and her daughter, Bonnie Berg (special friend, Rick Collins), Minneapolis; a grandson, David; two brothers: Jack (Louise) Damro, Kaukauna and Richard Damro, Colfax, WI. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ruth, a brother, Charlie, and an infant brother.
Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Alice's name is being established for the Community Hospice Foundation. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is assisting the family.
