  See image Buchanan Pioneer Dead - Mrs. John Glas heen an early settler of the town of Buchanan died Monday morning at the h ome of her son William Glasheen. Ailments incident to old age were the cau se. Deceased was born in County Tipperary, Ireland 77 years ago, but ca me to the United States when 18 years of age and settled in New York wi th her uncle Mike Murphy. Three years later she moved to Portage county, W isconsin where in 1855 she married John Glasheen also from County Tipperar y. In 1859 Mr. and Mrs. Glasheen moved to Buchanan where they experienc ed all the difficulties of pioneer life. Eight children survive; Mrs. Lizz ie Clune of Niagara, and Dan, Mike, Jerry, Will, Ed and Tom of the to wn of Buchanan and John of Appleton. The funeral services were held at S t. Mary's church Wednesday, internment being in the Hollandtown cemeter y. John Duffy, John Cox, Morris Campbell, Wm. Rohan, Tom Clune and Wm.
