- Irene M. Frank, 79, Neenah, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2012. She was born Feb. 25, 1932, to the late Henry and Margaret (Neuens) Skell in Racine, Wis. On May 8, 1954, she married Paul "Sonny" Frank, Jr.
Irene was a very caring woman, having been a care-giver for many children throughout her years. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her dogs, Candace and Holly. She was also involved with the Rusty Rails, Neenah's American Legion Post 33, and was a past board member of the Soo Line Credit Union.
Irene will be greatly missed by her husband of almost 58 years, Sonny; three children, Tom (Diane) Frank, Linda (Tom) Voight and Tammy (Greg) Roou; her grandchildren, Lisa (John) Smith, Cindy (Eric) Kreuser, Neil (Brittany) Frank, Nicholas (Maureen) McLain, Kelly (Andrew) Naughton, Ryan (Sarah) McLain, Rachel and Allie Frank, Eric and Melissa Voight and Matthew Roou. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Olivia and Montana Smith, Estelle and June and Ethan Voight.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Frank; and his wife, Ellie; a grandson, Aaron Frank; and a daughter-in-law, Christine Frank.
The funeral service for Irene will be held Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be at church from 9 am. until the hour of service. Inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gabriel Catholic Church made in her name would be greatly appreciated.
Irene's family would like to extend a warm thank you to the nurses and staff at MacArthur Hall of Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, as well as the ThedaCare Hospice at Home, for the great care and compassion given to Irene.
