  See Image Marie Verhagen, age 89, former ly of 800 Grand Avenue, Little Chute, died at 1:38 a.m. Sunday, November 1 4th, 1999, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 31st, 19 10 in DePere, Wisconsin, daughter of James and Antoinette Manning. On Oct ober 27th, 1930, she was united in marriage to John J. Verhagen. He prece ded her in death on May 23rd, 1983. Marie is survived by a daughter and s on-in-law, Bonnie (Art) VanAsten, of Little Chute; Bill (Eileen) Verhage n, Manawa, Jerry (Rose) Verhagen, Darboy, and Tom (Clare) Verhagen, Cente r. She had 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Besides her husba nd and parents she was preceded in death by a sister Annabelle Martin, t wo brothers James and Bud Manning: a grandchild, Rick VanAsten, a great gr andchild Bill Christian and numerous brothers and sisters in laws and niec es and nephews. Marie is further survived by four sisters, Dorothy (Melvi n) Leininger, Jeanette (Joe) Glowacki, of DePere, Katie (Edward) Glinisk i, of Green Bay; Lucille Danelski, of Denmark, a brother Dick (Fran) Manni ng, of Chilton, and a sister-in-law, Rosemary Manning, of DePere. Over t he years Marie enjoyed fishing off the dock at Pickerel Lake. Playing car ds, knitting, always giving her work to family, relatives, friends and cha rity. She was a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chut e, and a many year member of the Mission Club. Because of her devoti on to the blessed Mary, she was a promoter of the miraculous medals to a ll family and friends over her entire life span. Friends and relatives m ay call at the Verkuilen funeral home, Little Chute, on Tuesday, Novemb er 16th from 4 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, November 17th at St. J ohn Catholic Church from 10 A.M. until the 11:30 a.m. mass of resurrecti on with the Rev. Monsignor James Vanden Hogan presiding. We wish to tha nk Dr. David Ebben for his tireless tire less tender care for Mom over the se many years. Also to the loving and special caregivers at Park side, nu rse Mary, nurse Sue, CNA Pat Weber, Donna VanAsten, Lois, Diane and to any one else at Park side who truly cared about Mom. Also many thanks go o ut to mothers devoted friend and neighbor Alma Weyenberg. Our family h as a saddened heart, but know Mom is now at peace with Dad.
