- Berniece A. Wuyts, Kaukauna, age 86, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, surrounded by her family, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on December 4, 1928 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Ervin and Magdalene (Vandenzen) Besaw. On June 10, 1950 Berniece married Jack D. Wuyts at Holy Cross Catholic Church. The couple enjoyed 61 years of marriage together prior to his death on May 23, 2011. Berniece loved spending time at the cottage in Mountain, fishing, crocheting and especially spending time with the family she held so precious. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church where she volunteered in the CCD Program and was a volunteer at the St. Paul Home. Berniece was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
Berniece is survived by her children: Karen (Ray) Diedrick, and Keith Wuyts; a son-in-law, Dave Wittman (special friend Bonnie); 9 grandchildren: Cory (Angela) Wittman, Mike (Becky) Wittman, Heather (Joe) Totman, Nick (Tina) Wuyts, Brian (Rene) Diedrick, Eric (Tammy) Diedrick, Dustin Diedrick, Jake Wuyts, and Taylor Wuyts; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; a brother, Lester (Janice) Besaw, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is further survived by her husband's family: Aureta and Bernice Wuyts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, a daughter, Diane Wittman in 2013, a son, Donald "Woody" Wuyts in 2007, a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Dave) Carnot, and a brother, Bill Besaw. She is further preceded in death by her husband's family: Annie (Joe) Rademacher, Emma (Ezra) Terry, Bertha (Bill) Zahn, Albert (Louise) Wuyts, Harry (Jean) Wuyts, Carl Wuyts, Florence (Leo) Blair, and Robert Wuyts.
A funeral service for Berniece will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends may call directly at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
