- Jewell E. Ullrich, 78, of 510 Reed St., Plymouth, died early Sunday afternoon, April 2, 1995, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee, where she had been a patient since Thursday after suffering an apparent stroke.
She was Born Sept. 4, 1916 in Greenleaf, a daughter of the late Helmuth and Vivette Fenton Prust.
She attended beauty college in Green Bay and moved to Plymouth in 1935, where she opened her own beauty shop "Jewels." She has been the sole owner-operator for 60 years.
On July 5, 1943, she was married to W. D. "Bill" Smith in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Plymouth
In 1962, she married Dr. Alex Ullrich. He preceded her in death Aug 17, 1975.
Jewell is a member of the Ladwig Zinkgraf American Legion Post Auxiliary.
Survivors include, one daughter, Jennifer (Dan) Klahn, Sheboygan; seven grandchildren, Daniel (Bertha) Klahn, Seville, Fla: Timothy ( Cheryl) Klahn, Dent, Wash; Kelly Wysocki, Burien, Wash: Amber and Shawn Klahn, both of Seattle, Wash; Ryan Klahn, Roseville, Minn: and Megan Klahn, Sheboygan; two great-grandchildren, Jewell Klahn, Dent, Wash; and Sara Wysocki, Burien Wash; and her special friend Joe May, Elkhart Lake.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday evening, at 8:30 p.m. at the Witkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth, the Rev. Lyle Ohman, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Greenleaf. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, until the hour of services.
A memorial has been established to the Faith Baptist Church.
