But seriously, Anna Voskuhler is my 1st cousin, 3x removed. Her father Henry is my great-great grandmother's brother (Elizabeth Voskuhler Poehling, 1840-1922). I'm mostly looking for ancient history at this point. You have so many Leis names in your tree that I thought you may know the answer to this question. In one of my family lines, I have a great-great aunt named Clara Kracklauer (1864-1938) who was married to a man named Lorenz Leis (1860-1907). They lived in the La Crosse, Wisconsin area (maybe Monroe County) until after Lorenz died and then Clara and her son moved to Cincinnati. I was looking for Wisconsin vital records for them and found the marriage record for Anna and Bernard Leis. Finding two of my relatives married to Leis (what's the plural of that?--Leis's?) has intrigued me. I would really like to know if Bernard and Lorenz are related. It looks like they both lived in the Cashton area at some point, but I haven't been able to find a connection. Does that make any sense at all? To further complicate things, Anna Voskuhler's first cousin, Anna Poehling was married to Alois Kracklauer, Clara's brother. :-) Now that you know how I'm connected, let me know if there is anything in my tree you're interested in. I realize we're only related by marriage, so there may not be a whole lot that I have that pertains to your family, but I'd be happy to share. Have you been doing this family tree thing a long time?
