  Walter J. Swanningson, 4 21 W. Tenth St. Kaukauna; Age 76, died Tuesday, September 13, 1988, at Kau kauna CommunIty Hospital, following a long illness. He was born November 1 4, 1911, in Ingalls, Michigan, the son of the late Fred and Hilma (Lindber g) Swanningson. He resided in Kaukauna most of his life and had been emplo yed at Appleton Papers, Combined Lock Mill, for 43 years prior to his reti rement in 1974. He especially enjoyed fishing and woodcarving. He was a me mber of Appleton Papers Quarter Century Club; the woodcarvers Club, and lo cal Number 144. He is survived by his wife, Regina (Verhagen) Swanningso n; his children: Roger and Evon Swanningson, Kaukauna; Carol, Swanningso n, Little Chute, Evelyn and Gerald Schmidt, Brillion, Debbie and Ray Van W ychen, Kaukauna; Robert and Ann Swanningson; Kaukauna; two sisters-in-la w: Helen and Viola Swanningson; both of Kenosha; 16 grandchildren: Bernar d, Fred, David, Keith, Karl, Henry, Lorie and Sara Schmidt; Tony and Kris ti Swanningson; Andy, Amy and.Brian Van Wychen, Lisa and Ricky Swanningso n; Bobby Swanningson; four great-grandchudren, He was preceded In death b y, two sons, two daughters, four brothers, and a sister. The funeral wi ll beat 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with the Re v. James Gilsoul officiating. Buri1 will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Frien ds may call at the Greenwood Fargo Funeral Home, 500 Hendricks Ave. Kaukau na from 4 to 9 p.m:, Thursday, and after 8:30 a,m., Friday, at the funer al home until the cortege leaves for the church.
