- Bryan J. Dorn, 23, Neenah, died unexpectedly Friday, March 23, 2012, at his home. Bryan was born on January 4, 1989, in Appleton, son of Joseph Dorn and Karen (Trantow) Dorn-Gilson. He graduated from Neenah High School, class of 2007. He was a High Honor Roll Student and a University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Senior. Bryan always had a smile and was known for his quick wittedness and enjoyed being with his many friends and family members. Bryan was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha. Bryans' greatest joy was his family and girlfriend and the time spent with them.
Bryan is lovingly survived by his parents: Joseph (June) Dorn and Karen (Steve Gilson) Dorn-Gilson; three brothers: Jonathan (Stacey) Dorn, Neenah, Nathan Dorn, Minneapolis, MN, and Paul Dorn, Neenah; paternal grandmother: Lucille Werth; maternal grandmother: Magdalen Trantow; girlfriend: Emily Meder; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by an infant brother; paternal grandfather: Walter Dorn; and maternal grandfather: Franklin Trantow.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second St., Menasha, with The Rev. Paul Paider officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kessler Funeral Home, and at the church from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Bryan's name.
