Elaine R. Arneson, 78, Clintonville, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.
Elaine was born on Dec. 21, 1932, in The Township of Deer Creek, Outagamie County, the daughter of the late Reuben and Lil (Ziemer) Neilson. In 1950, she graduated from New London High School. Elaine was united in marriage on Sept. 6, 1952, to James R. Arneson at Grace Lutheran Church, Sugar Bush. After her husband, Jim, served in the U.S. Air Force, the couple returned in 1954 to live in Clintonville where they spent the rest of their married life. Elaine worked at the F.W.D. Corporation and later at the Shopper's Guide, both in Clintonville. Jim preceded his wife in death on Nov. 11, 2004. Elaine was a member of the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville. Her hobbies included playing bridge and attending country western concerts. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Survivors include daughters, Mary (Paul) Jacobson, Embarrass; Kris (Pat) Stichman, Waupaca; son, Dave (Marge) Arneson, Merrill; five grandchildren, Dusty Stichman (special friend Melany Hansen), Waupaca; Cody Stichman, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; Victoria Arneson (Fianc?' Aaron Erickson), Oshkosh; Marlee Arneson (special friend Jordan Hoekstra), Duluth, Minn.; Sam Arneson, Madison; great-granddaughter, Kylie Stichman; sister-in-law, Dorothy Neilson, New London.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim; a sister, Virginia Neilson and a brother, Robert Neilson.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call at the Church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
