- Kamps, Jack, John J, "Jack", "Jake" Age 91, of Appleton, died Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Brewster Village. John was born in 1924 in Appleton, son of the late Gebhard and Margaret (Maurer) Kamps. He was very proud of his life long career as an Accountant and enjoyed a game of golf with family and friends. He married Mary Catherine McCarthy in Pittsburgh, PA in 1946. John was a graduate of Appleton West High School, and of the Robert Morris College - Accounting School in Pittsburgh, PA. He has an Honorable Discharge from the US Army/Air Force after serving active overseas duty in South East Asia, 1943 - 1946.
He is survived by his children Geraldine (Dave) Traczyk, William Kamps, Mary Pat (Neil) Hartzheim, Maggie Callaham, Timothy (Vicki) Kamps, David (Kathy) Kamps, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Kamps, son-in-law Steven Mueller, grandchildren Max (Darcy) Mueller, Dan (Alyssa) Mueller, Wendy Traczyk, Sara (Cory) McKone, Kelly Traczyk, Patty (Ryan) Riedl, Brian Kamps, Maggie (Paul) Wratkowski, Brigitte (Kyle) Haeusser, Kevin (Jenna) Hartzheim, Jacob Kamps, Jesse (Stephanie) Kamps, Joshua (Hya ) Kamps, Jonathan Kamps, Joseph Kamps, James Kamps, Katie (Jason) Beck, Jackie Lynn Kamps, Michael (Becca) Kamps, Heather Kamps; 14 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews. John was predeceased by his wife Mary Catherine, a daughter Christine (Steven) Mueller, his parents, and siblings Louise (George) Walter, Elizabeth (Victor Schmidt, Ruth Kenneth Stier, Ethel Robert O'Brien, William Alice Kamps Paul Mick Kamps, Margaret John Marx, Robert Gloria Kamps, Frank Veronica Kamps.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr Jim Leary, O.F. M. Cap. officiating.
