- Hermsen, Mildred nee Vanden Heuvel Little ChuteAge 81, passed away Monday, November 11, 2002, surrounded by her fami ly at St. Paul Home. Milly was born March 8, 1921 in Little Chute; daught er of the late Peter A. and Margaret (Verhagen) Vanden Heuvel. Milly marri ed Frank Hermsen Jr., December 9, 1942 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Chu rch, Little Chute, where she was a lifelong member. He preceded her in dea th August 10, 1967. Milly was a member and past president of the Americ an Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the St. Elizabeth Society. M illy loved playing golf, cards, traveling and music. Her greatest joy w as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Mildred is survived by her four daughters: Mary Ann (John) Fiers, Carol (L arry) Van Lankvelt, Linda (Joe) Hank, all of Little Chute; Pam (Terry) Wes tphal, Bonduel; 11 grandchildren: Brad (Katrina) Schuler; Stephanie (Patri ck) Terry; Amanda (Patrick) Haley; Sherry (Tim) Bevers; Amy (Rick) Popp; A aron, Jon (Traci) and Jeremy Hank; Dana, Sandy and Ann Westphal; nine grea t-grandchildren: Eric, Nate, Cassie, Rachael, Abby, Ryan, Miles, Emma a nd Josie; two sisters: Jule (Ted) Huiting and Mona (Jim) Bouressa; two sis ters-in-law: Doris (Dick) Vanden Heuvel and Pat (Jack) Hermsen; many niec es and nephews. Milly was preceded in death by a brother, Dick Vanden Heuv el; a sister, Martha Heindel; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and K atherine Hermsen; three brothers-in-law: Jack and Jim Hermsen, Ray Heinde l; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Beyer.Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2002 at S t. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Msgr. James Van den Hogen officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends m ay call at the church from 4 p.m. Thursday until the time of the mass.In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for St. Paul Ho me and the American Diabetes Association. The family would like to expre ss their thanks to the staff at St. Paul villa and Home for their care a nd compassion shown to our mother.Mom you have shown us strength and faith by example through your lif e. We thank God for the years we have had with you and we look forwa rd to the day that we see your shining blue eyes and smile again. All of o ur love goes with you as you go home and rest in peace.
