- Bernice Ann Nack, age 93, of Menasha, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. Bernice was born May 14, 1924 in Cudahy, WI to the late Joseph and Minnie (Vanderloop) Hennes. She graduated with the class of 1942 at Appleton High School. In 1945, she was united in marriage to William J. Nack Sr. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. The couple enjoyed 68 years together until Bill passed in 2014. Bernice worked in the research department at Kimberly Clark. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Bernards for many years. Bernice enjoyed reading, laughing, and loved spending time with her family - especially children.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Mike) Collins, Appleton; 3 sons: Bill (Cindy) Nac, Hartland, Gary Nack, Menasha, and Jeffery Nack, Appleton; 9 grandchildren: Jill Arnoldussen, Beth (Randall) Reed, Patti (Ben) Fouts, Aaron (Hillary) Nack, Jamie (Tania) Nack, Joel (Sarah) Nack, Kim (Scott) Wing, Josh (Jill) Nack, and Courtney Marzahl; 18 great grandchildren: Matt, Sam, Seth, Spencer, Aubrey, Ellie, Lillie, Lucie, Rory, Liam, Lachlan, Connor, Caden, Molly, Dalton, Elizabeth, Emily, and Teagan.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Minnie Hennes, husband William J. Nack Sr., sister Jullita (Bob) Schwalbach, great grandchildren Gracie and Isaiah, mother and father-in-law, and brother-in-law James Nack.
Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Thursday, June 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St. Appleton, with Father James Leary OFM Cap officiating. Friends and relatives may visit at the church on Thursday from 9 am until 10:45 am. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
