Biography |
Aft 1993 |
- Uncle Riley was a kind generous man and he certainly did gi ve me many fond memories. We used to walk to the Quaker Dairy Store on Me ade Street just north of Wisconsin Ave and bring the milk bottles ba ck to the store, get some milk and more often than not we would get an i ce cream cone. He taught me how to draw, I remember one time, oh I must h ave been about 7 or 8, he had me draw a house that we could see on Meade S t. from Grandma Solies dining room window, I must have drawn that house 1 00 times, he said I must draw just what I see, to this day I can draw a bu ilding pretty good, Thanks Uncle Ri.He died all too soon and too suddenly, however enjoying his game of golf.
