  Mildred W. Witthuhn, age 91, formerly of Johnsonville, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family early Tuesday evening (Jan. 29) at Harvest Home Assisted Living in Howards Grove where she had been a resident for the past 1 years. She was born on February 24, 1921 in the Town of Herman, Wisconsin a daughter of the late Albert and Minnie Kohl Hanke. She attended Pinehurst Grade School in the Town of Herman and graduated from Howards Grove High School in 1938. She worked at the Kohler Company and at the Vollrath Company in Sheboygan. On October 5, 1946, she married Lester Witthuhn at Saron United Church of Christ in the Town of Sheboygan Falls. The couple resided in Sheboygan after their marriage and in the Johnsonville Area since 1949. She worked at Elenco Company and S & R Cheese for many years and at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility for 13 years, retiring in 1983. Her husband preceded her in death on August 28, 2000. She was a life long member of Saron United Church of Christ and the Ladies Aid Society in the church. She and her husband were members of the Melody Dance Club for many years and she enjoyed playing cards with her many friends and spending time with her loving family. Loving mother of: Three daughters: Marilyn (Wayne) Bodway of Neshkoro, WI, Connie (Randy) Sixel of Howards Grove, WI and Wendy Krubsack (Fiance: Tom Ruh) of Elkhart Lake, WI; One son: Richard (Bonnie) Jones-Witthuhn of River Falls, WI; One brother: Albert (Doris) Hanke of Howards Grove, WI; One sister-in-law: Madeline (Walter) Herr of Sheboygan, WI; Cherished grandmother of: Ten grandchildren, Two step-grandchildren, Ten great-grandchildren, Six step-great-grandchildren and Two great, great grandsons. She is survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son-in-law: David Krubsack; one brother: Harvey and two sisters: Ruth and Gertrude. Funeral services will be held on Sunday (Feb. 3) at 3:00 P.M. at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Kathryn Kuhn, pastor of the Saron United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. on Sunday until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established in Mildreds name for Saron United Church of Christ. The Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Plymouth is serving her family.
