- Samuel P. Niemuth Formerly of _20 S. Mayflower Drive, Appleton, age 81, died Friday, May 24, 1985. He was born
December 31, 1903 in Birnamwood, Wisconsin, the son of the late Fred and Emma (Pomeranke) Niemuth. He had been an Appleton resident for the past 40 years. Sam was a welder for Kools Brothers for over 20 years, retiring in 1969. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Van Lyssel, Appleton; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Karl and Lucille Niemuth, and Robert Niemuth, all of Appleton; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Albert and Hildegard Niemuth, Birnamwood; and Aloys Niemuth, Milwaukee; four sisters and a brother-in-law: Rena and Harold LaPorte, West Allis; Sadie Smale, Whitewater; Almira Draves, Wales, Wisconsin; Wildred Niemuth, Milwaukee; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Sam was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, February 6, 1983, a brother, Noah Mueller, and two sisters: Myrtle Reisch, and Irene Otto. The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Brettschneider, Trettin, Lederer Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Donald Zelle officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and on Sunday until the hour of service. A memorial fund has been established.
