- Tech. Corporal Clifford Rademacher is spending a 34-day furlough with his parents. He just returned from the European theater after spending five months in combat and two months in hospitals and 11 months of non-combat duty. He was assigned to the Fifth Armored division as a machine gunner on a half-track.

- Rademacher, Clifford W. - Clifford W. Rademacher, Sherwood, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monda y, January 23, 2006, at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. Cliff was bo rn in Dundas on October 18, 1918, son of the late Peter and Ann (Micke) Ra demacher.From 1941 until 1945 (the entire duration of World War II), Cliff serv ed as a member of the United States Army and was currently a member of t he Freedom Post #7692 of the VFW. Cliff's good friends from the post wi ll provide the military honors at his funeral. On November 28, 1946, Cli ff married the former Rita Murphy; she preceded him in death on March 1 2, 1983. On September 29, 1984, he married Agnes VerBockel Karner; she sur vives. For over 30 years, Cliff was employed by the Kimberly-Clark Corpora tion in Kimberly, retiring in 1975.He enjoyed bowling, playing cards with family and friends, and of cours e, bus trips to the casino. Cliff will long be remembered for the countle ss hours he and Agnes volunteered by cleaning Sacred Heart Church in Sherw ood. Those who knew Cliff well knew him to be a deeply religious man al so - not a day passed on which he didn't pray the rosary.Survivors include his wife, Agnes Rademacher of Sherwood; a daughter, Ma ry Pat (Rich) Willems of De Pere; his twin sister, Cleta Van Dyke of Kauka una; three grandchildren: Bob (Dawn) Willems; Barb Willems and her speci al friend, Ed Wojkiewicz; and Patti Willems; three great-grandchildren: Ta ylor and Kelsey Willems, and Saige Wojkiewicz. Cliff is also survived by A gnes' children: Norb (Marce) Karner of Kimberly; Don Karner and his speci al friend, Randi Bera of Kaukauna; Carol (Jerry) Calnin of Wrightstown; Pa ul (Charmaine) Karner of Greenville; Joyce (Cliff) Eiting of Hollandtow n; Lois (Dave) Ribbens of Greenwood, Minnesota; and Mary Kay (Mark) Heind el of Wrightstown; 17 step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildre n; a special daughter-in-law, Carol Hetzel of Appleton; as well as numero us brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and ma ny friends.Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, three infant sons, brothers: L eo (Loretta) Rademacher and Elmer (Evelyn) Rademacher; sisters: Lillian (U rban) Eiting and Loretta (Gordon) Nettekoven; and a brother-in-law, Al V an Dyke.The funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 200 6, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, N341 Military Road in Sherwood, with F r. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemete ry in Kimberly.
