On August 25, 2002, Ralph went to be with his Lord and Savior, with all his loved ones by his side. Age 69, he was born May 10, 1933 in Appleton; son of the late Harry and Lillian (Madden) Barkholtz. Ralph married Joan Becker on November 26, 1955 in Appleton. He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean Conflict. Ralph was self employed as a home builder. He loved traveling, taking his grandkids fishing and attending their special events. Ralph was the boy's basketball coach of Martin Luther School for many years. He enjoyed painting and woodworking. Ralph was a very active and faithful member of Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church, Neenah.
Survivors include his wife Joan; four sons: Scott (Debbie) Barkholtz, Neenah; Rodney (Julie) Barkholtz, New London; Ross (Becky) Barkholtz, Hortonville; Rick Barkholtz, Wilsonville, Oregon; a daughter, Karen Basler, Neenah. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Barkholtz. He is further survived by a daughter-in-law, Gail Barkholtz, Hortonville; grandchildren: Melissa (James) Krueger, Kalen Barkholtz, Jennifer Barkholtz and fiance Chris Kern, Scott Jr., Michelle, Daydre and Jacob Barkholtz, Sarah Basler, Alissa, Joseph, Joshua, Christopher, Casey, Jordan, Anna, and Amanda Barkholtz who was born 8-25-02; three great-grandchildren, Aubree and Brenna Krueger, Caleb Kosiorek; mother-in -law, Alice Becker, Appleton; two brothers, Harry (Joan) Barkholtz Jr., Roy Barkholtz; sister, Kathleen (Joseph Sr.) Mock; four brothers-in-law: Richard (Elaine) Becker, Gary (Janet) Becker, Donald (Karen) Becker, John Becker; sister-in-law, Mary (John) Carnot; and numerous special nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas; and his father-in-law, Wilfred Becker.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Maurice officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #60 of Kimberly. Relatives and friends may call at the CHURCH on Tuesday (TODAY) from 4-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New London. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name.

All of his life Ralph was a "giver." He enjoyed doing things for people and never expected anything in return.
