  Magdalena Popp The Times learns that Mrs. Conrad Popp, a pioneer of the town of Rantoul, died at her home in Appleton on Sunday last at the age of seventy-six years, eleven months and twelve days, following an illness since last spring. The deceased woman was a native of Germany and came to this country in the early fifties. For many years she and her husband owned and operated the farm in the town of Rantoul now the property of Jas. Doyle. Some ten years ago they disposed of their homestead and moved to Appleton where she resided until death called her. She is survived by her husband, three sons, George of Stockbridge, Oscar of Appleton and Emil of Merrill and two daughters, Mrs. (Lillian) Aug Stache of Rantoul and Mrs. (Anna) Fred Wundrow of Greenville. Mrs. Emily Popp and three children of New Holstein were at Appleton to attend the funeral which was held on Wednesday. Chilton Times September 4, 1920
