  Grace Palmbach died Friday, October 12, 2007, at Cabrillo Care Center after a brief illness. She was born Grace Christensen in August 1923 in Appleton, WI, the third of a family of 10 children. She married Leonard Palmbach in August 1945. She spent 35 years in Phoenix, AZ, working with Hospitality International and foreign student groups. Grace and Leonard traveled worldwide and moved to San Luis Obispo in 1988. She was active in bridge and a former member of the Monday Club. She is survived by her husband, Leonard; daughter, Susan (Michael) Murphy, New Mexico; son, Michael (Debra) Palmbach; grandchildren: Lily and Liam, all of Batislava, Slovakia. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers.
