- Monday funeral for Elsie C. Heaser, A Mass of Christian burial for Elsie C. Heaser, will be 11: 00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Minnieska, with Rev. Edwa rd McGrath officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr s. Heaser, 74, of Weaver, died Thursday, November 9th, 1995, at Lewiston V illa in Lewiston. Elsie Romenesko was born May 11th, 1921, in Weave r. On October 20th, 1938 she married Hubert Merchlewitz of Stockton at S t. Mary's Church in Minnieska. He died December 24th, 1951. On Februa ry 18th, 1954, she married Aloysius Heaser at St. Mary's Church in Minnies ka. He died August 18th, 1981. Mrs. Heaser was a member of the Royal Nei ghbors of America, St. Ann Society at St. Mary's Catholic Church and serv ed in all of the offices of the society. In addition, she held an offi ce on the Weaver school board and was clerk for the township of Minniesk a, completing the term held by her father after his death. She was then e lected to that post. She is survived by four sons, David Merchlewitz of C ottage Grove, Harold Merchlewitz of Isante, Minnesota, Lavern Heaser of In ver Grove and Alan Heaser of Minnieska; four daughters, Mary (Mrs. Stan) R upert of Zumbro Falls, Diane Klapak of South St. Paul, Carlotta (Mrs. Bern ie) Weissinger of Bloomer, Wisconsin, and Carol (Mrs. Chris) Milner, of Fr idley, 33 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Helen (M rs. Edward) Lang of Winona and Alice Fairchild of Center City, Minnesot a. She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, two grandson's, a g reat-grandson and a brother. Friends May call from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p. m. Sunday at Abbott Funeral home in Wabasha where there will be a 4:00 p. m. rosary service and 8:00 p.m. prayer service. Friends may also call o ne hour before services at the church on Monday.
