- 1911 Kaukauna Sun dated 9/28/1911; Miss Eva Schmaltz, daughter of Mr. & Mr s. Theodore Schmalz of this city, and Walter Romenesko, son of Henry Romen esko of Freedom, were united in holy bonds of matrimony Monday morni ng at 9 o'clock at Holy Cross church, Mnsr. P.J. Lochman officiating. Th ey were attended by Miss Clara Schmaltz, sister of the bride, as bridesma id and Nick Romenesko, cousin of the groom as groomsman. The bride was att ired in a gown of dark blue messaline, trimmed with cream embrodery net a nd wore a plumed hat to match, and carried a white prayer book. The brides maid was gowned in old rose silk wool and wore a white picture hat and car ried a shower bouquet of roses and carnations. After the ceremony a weddi ng breakfast was served to relatives and a few friends at the home of t he bride's parents on Desnoyer St. They were the recipient's of many beaut iful presents, including furniture, silverware and money. Mr & Mrs. Romene sko left on an afternom train for a visit which they will spend at Chica go and Milwaukee. They will be home after Oct 3 to their friends at a co zy home on Desnoyer St., which the groom has recently purchased. The bri de is a popular young lady of this city and is held in high esteem by a ll who know her. The groom who is a carpenter by trade is an enterprisi ng and industrious young man.
