- Mrs Mildred Werdin, 62, of 1814 algoma blvd., was pronounced dead on arrival sunday at 1:25pm at mercy medical center, where she had been taken from her home.she was born in Stanley, Wisconsin on may 15, 1911, daughter of Axel And Elin Solie, and was married to Sigmund Celichowski on june 14, 1929 in Oshkosh. on may 16, 1963, she was married to Kermit Werdin. Mrs Werdin had been previously owner and operator of the greenhouse tavern, and was a member of the Oshkosh Tavern league. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Stanley Kay Henke, oshkosh; one son, Gordon Cell, alma, michigan; one brother, Lloyd Solie, Miami, Florida; four sisters, Mrs Donald (Evelyn) Kranzusch, Mrs Tom (Marion) Mckenny, Mrs Walter (Ruth) Centner, Appleton and Mrs Ray (Amy) Gorman, Columbia, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.services will be held tuesday at 1:30pm at marquardt funeral home, with the Rev. Roald K. Harswick, pastor at first english lutheran church, officiating. burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
