She was born on August 14, 19 26 in Bear Creek; the daughter of Cornelius and Louise (Vanden Elzen) Peet ers. On September 8, 1948 she married Herbert Hooyman at St. Mary's Cathol ic Church in Bear Creek.She is survived by her husband, Herbert; and 11 children: Francis Hooyma n, Shiocton; Jim (Joy) Hooyman, Shiocton; Jerry (Lorraine) Hooyman, Shioct on; Mary Sue (John) Schmude, Clintonville; Jean (Jerome) Schroth, Shiocto n; Rita (Dan) Schroth, Shiocton; Elaine (Dan) Conradt, Shiocton; Paul (Con nie) Hooyman, Shiocton; Carla (Al) Chizek, Black Creek; Bill Hooyman, Shio cton; Bonnie Hooyman (special friend Randy Hartlaben), Shiocton; 38 grandc hildren and 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Dorothy (Jim) Mackowia k, Clintonville; Helen (John) Mackowiak, Manawa; Elizabeth (Jim) Hansen, M enasha; Rose (Willis) Fritz, Clintonville; a brother, Martin Peeters, Shio cton; four sisters-in-law: Helen Mae Peeters, New London; Betty (Roland) K anaman, Shiocton; Hildie (Victor) Fermanich, New London; Helena (Nick) Kru zicki, Clintonville; Rose Ann (Don) Smith, Sparks, Nevada; Theresa Buchne r, Kimberly; Mary Lou Dorn, Appleton; Audrey Hooyman, Black Creek; and a b rother-in-law, Leander Petit, Kaukauna. Preceding her in death were her pa rents; a son, Robert; a daughter, Joan; a grandson, Zachary Chizek; a trip let sister and brother, Rose Peeters and Joseph Peeters; a brother, Antho ny Peeters; brothers-in-law: Butch Hooyman, Eugene Hooyman, Wally Buchne r; and a sister-in-law, Clara Petit.The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 20 02 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton with Father Gilbert Jacobs cel ebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at t he church on Thursday (TODAY) from 4-8 p.m. where there will be a parish p rayer service at 7:30 p.m. and again on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the ti me of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to granddaughter Kristy Ho oyman, Sister Gretta, Hospice, and the nurses at A.M.C.
