- Marian Driessen, age 94, of Kaukauna, passed away at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute, on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Marian was born on August 1, 1918, in Little Chute, to the late George G. and Mary (Hermsen) Coenen. She married Robert E. Driessen on September 1, 1941, in Little Chute, and moved to Kaukauna; he preceded her in death on November 13, 2003. In 1967 the couple moved to White Potato Lake for 23 years and then returned to Kaukauna. Marian was employed as a sales clerk at Gloudeman and Gage, and later at Prange's. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Karen Geyso, Kaukauna; Robert F. Driessen, Kaukauna; and Rick (Betty) Driessen, Kaukauna; her nine grandchildren, Eric (Jenny) Geyso, Alison (Dave) Spencer, Abbie (Luke) Quella, Todd (Nicole) Driesssen, Craig Driessen, Robin (Scott) Bruecker, Darin (Michelle) Driessen, Traci (Brandon) Powell and Tyler Driessen; her eleven great grandchildren, Dylan Driessen, Chase Driessen, Saylor Driessen, Taylor Geyso, Caden Lambie, Kiefer Lambie, Griffin Geyso and Grady Geyso, Megan Driessen, Kenzi Driessen, Brayden Powell, her great great granddaughter, Eden Geyso; her sisters, Rose Kavanaugh and Leone (Bob) Stadler; and her brother-in-law, Leo Driessen She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marian was preceded in death by her son, Daryl Driessen; her son-in-law, Bill Geyso; her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Driessen; and numerous brothers, sisters and in-laws.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Parkside Care Center for their loving care. A memorial has been established in Marian's name.
