- Lorraine "Rainy" Brick, (nee Demerath), Kaukauna, age 76, died peacefully on Thursday, December 9, 2014 at St. Paul Home with her family by her side. She was born September 6, 1938 in Freedom, daughter of the late George and Leona (Verhagen) Demerath. On October 6, 1962 Lorraine married Terrence Brick in Wrightstown. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2013. Lorraine was a homemaker and volunteered at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She later worked at Kaukauna Piggly Wiggly for many years. Lorraine loved to spend time outside gardening and cutting lawn; her yard was immaculate. She liked visits to the park in Wrightstown, having picnics with the family and watching the kids ski. Halloween was one of her favorite holidays, dressing up for the kids that were trick or treating. Lorraine also loved to walk and bike around Kaukauna. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Kaukauna.
Lorraine is survived by her Children: Kevin Brick, Tom (Cindy) Brick, Kerri (Scott) Miller, all of Kaukauna and Tiffany (David) Ortiz, Weston, MA; 10 grandchildren: Eric VandenBoogard, Kim (Brian) Kosmosky, Lindsay (Scott) Goldsmith, Austin Brick, Jonathon Brick, Bailey and Nic Miller, Yessica, Alex and D'Angelo Ortiz; 5 great-grandchildren: MaKennah Vandehey, Nevaeh and Danicah Kosmosky, Marlee VandenBoogard and Caroline Goldsmith; 4 brothers: Arlin (Sharon) Demerath, Town of Lawrence, Vernon (Karen) Demerath, Wrightstown, Carlos (Lois) Demerath, Town of Kaukauna, and Gary (Colleen) Demerath, DePere; 2 sisters: Joyce (Bob) Huisenfeldt, Green Bay and Linda (Keith) Peterson, Kaukauna; numerous nieces and nephews. She is furthers survived by her husband's family: JoAnne (Ralph) Runnoe, Gene (Helen) Brick, Kay Fischer, Bob (Karen Ann) Brick and Peggy (Bill) Balzer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry, her daughter-in-law, Connie on September 7, 2014; a brother, Dennis Demerath, and her husband's brother, Fr. Paul Brick and a brother-in-law, Don Fischer.
Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at St Aloysius Church, 2401 Main Ave., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received directly at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in her name.
