- Gerrits, Rosella M.Rosella Gerrits, (Rosella Pociask Gerrits) Menasha, passed into Jesus' ar ms peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2005, at the age of 81. Rosella w as born in Butternut, Wisconsin, on June 7, 1924, daughter of the late Her man and Edna (Rominski) Hildebrand, Sr. She married Arthur Pociask, a nd he preceded her in death in 1956. In 1962 she married Wilbert Gerrit s, and he preceded her in death in 2000. Rosella was a great cook, and enj oyed preparing meals for her family and loved ones. Even though she was go od in the kitchen, it was no secret that her own favorite meal was Kentuc ky Fried Chicken! She also loved to dance, especially the polka. She was a lso a talented card player, and was happy to take you on in a lively ga me of smear. Rosella was a devout, faith-filled woman, who prayed and rece ived communion regularly.Rosella is survived by six children: Barbara Baumann of Kimberly; Daniel ( Gwen) Pociask of Menasha; Sandra (David) Berghuis of Little Chute; Lawren ce (Deborah) Gerrits of Kimberly; Timothy (Tamela) Pociask of Neenah; Ren ee (Jeffery) Pynenberg of Little Chute; nineteen grandchildren: Kelly (Eri c) Romenesko, Todd (Julie) Baumann, Ryan (Michelle) Pociask, Samuel Pocias k, Stacie (Brian) Bergeron, Troy Berghuis, Tessa (Scott) Pataska, Angel (M ike) Krueger, Amber Gerrits, Luke (Sonya) Gerrits, Sheila Pociask, Bria na Pociask, Andrew Pociask, Christopher Pynenberg, Morgan Pynenberg, Cart er Pynenberg, Chad Spierings, Kristy (Paul) Schreiber, and Cory Spiering s; eighteen great-grandchildren; five brothers: Oscar "Whitie" Hildebra nd of Little Chute, Herman (Donna) Hildebrand of Freedom, Kenneth (Rosean n) Hildebrand of Neenah, David (Susan) Hildebrand of Neenah, and Bernard ( Janet) Hildebrand of Neenah; three sisters: Ruth (John) Vander Wielen of K imberly, Diane (Patrick) Derby of Mountain Home, AR, and Judy (Robert) Pae ssler of Little Chute. Rosella is also survived by Arthur and Wilbert's ma ny brothers and sisters, and their families.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a daughter Debra S pierings in 1996, a great-granddaughter Samantha Krueger, a sister Norma ( Rene) Gossens, and a brother Carl Hildebrand.The funeral liturgy for Rosella will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, De cember 17, 2005, at ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 Pine Street in Little Ch ute with Fr. Ken Frozena officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Ce metery in Neenah. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday fr om 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service.The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the entire sta ff at Century Oaks Westridge in Menasha for taking such wonderful ca re of Rose; to Heartland Hospice for their expertise and compassion, a nd to Joyce Janssen for her many prayers, visits, and for bringing Rosel la communion.
