- Roy G Brownell, Wisconsin Rapids passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 unexpectally at his home. He was born January 6, 1941 in Appleton, WI to Roy M and Ruth Gretzinger Brownell. He married Mary Ellen Kilsdonk July 16, 1960 at St. John's Catholic Church in Little Chute, WI.
He graduated from Kaukauna High School 1959. Roy was a Big Brother in the Big Brothers & Sisters program. He was a Foster Parent to 28 children. Member of Lowell Center. Roy retired from Consolidated Papers in 2000. Roy enjoyed fishing, hunting the Brewers, Badgers and Packers.
Roy is survived by his wife Mary, Son Tim of Milwaukee, Sister Irene Schommer of Kaukauna, Niece Lisa, Nephew Mark and Special Friend Fred Smart
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Angi, sister Eileen Peterson, Nephew, Brian and brother in-law, David Schommer.

Service will be 3pm, Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Higgins Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids. With visitation from 1pm, until time of service, also at the funeral home.
